The Accelsior S dual-lane PCIe 2.0 card provides flexible storage expansion, delivering more than 500MB/s of throughput to your Mac or PC. It is the perfect complement to OWC's Mercury family of high-performance SSDs, allowing up to an additional 1TB of fast storage expansion.

Upgrading your Mac Pro or PC tower with a Mercury Extreme Pro and Accelsior S is a straightforward process, as no drivers or extra software are needed. The Accelsior S is compatible with a wide range of Mac Pro and Xserve models, as well as PCIe-capable Intel/AMD-based PCs and servers.

When used together, the Accelsior S and the Mercury Electra 250GB 6G SSD are compatible with the MacPro5,1, MacPro4,1, MacPro3,1, MacPro2,1, and MacPro1,1 series. However, the performance of the Accelsior S will depend on the PCIe slot configuration in your Mac Pro. A PCIe 2.0 x4 slot or better is required to deliver full throughput.

The 250GB Mercury Electra 6G SSD features a 4-channel controller, 3D SLC NAND flash cache, and 3D TLC NAND storage, delivering impressive performance with up to 522MB/s sequential reads, 463MB/s sequential writes, 90,000 IOPS random 4K reads, and 60,000 IOPS random 4K writes.

The Accelsior S, with its Asmedia 1062 HBA controller, PCIe 2.0 x2 interface, and AHCI compliance, provides a plug-and-play installation experience with no drivers required. It supports all 2.5" HDD and SSD SATA 1.5, 3.0, and 6.0Gb/s mechanisms, with read speeds of up to 550MB/s and write speeds of up to 530MB/s, depending on the installed mechanism.
