It also supports Xserve Xeon models from Late 2006 to 2009 (Xserve1,1, Xserve2,1, Xserve3,1) and is compatible with PC towers and PCIe-capable servers that meet the specified requirements.

When used in combination with the 2.0TB Mercury Electra 6G SSD, the Accelsior S is compatible with the MacPro4,1 and MacPro5,1 series, but not with the MacPro1,1, MacPro2,1, or MacPro3,1 series.

It's important to note that a PCIe 2.0 x4 slot or better is required to achieve the full throughput of the Accelsior S. Using a PCIe 1.0 x4 slot will reduce its performance. Additionally, the performance of the Accelsior S may be limited on older Mac Pro models (2006-2007) due to the use of PCIe 1.0 slots, which cannot be configured to address the Accelsior S as anything but a first-generation, one-lane card.
